Every year 300,000 people jam the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City on Thanksgiving night for the annual lighting ceremony. At 7 p.m., the switch is thrown and suddenly a hundred thousand lights grace the Spanish architecture of the first outdoor shopping center in the nation. Year after year, children and their parents sing carols and wait patiently in the cold for the thrilling moment. Only this year, one man plots to destroy the Plaza and kill as many people as possible at the exact moment the light switch is thrown.
