When Christine Blake meets charming and handsome lawyer Thomas Preston, while researching the fatal car accident she caused, the young assistant tax consultant discovers a whole new aspect of her personality. Christine even manages to stand up against her parents' favorite for the first time: her little sister Sandra, a successful ballerina. Even though Thomas and her spend most of the time on the phone, her life starts to spin exclusively around the man of her dreams. Christine's life would be perfect if not for the fact that Thomas' best friend Lukas Rainier is the one she allegedly killed in said car accident. And then there is the sylvester party, at which Thomas wants to present her to his family, which ends in Christine doubting her own sanity.
