They’re attracted, plain and simple. But a stalker could make things dangerously complicated. Penny I’m so insanely boring, my picture is in the dictionary next to ordinary. I’m plain old Penny, fiercely self-sufficient, never call attention to myself. Why in the world would I pick up a stalker? With my new bodyguard, I might get out of this alive. But the longer I’m with Kade, the less I’m sure I’ll get out with my heart intact. That body. Those eyes. That accent. He makes me want something I’ve never had. To matter. Kade I’m the oversized guy everyone underestimates. A gentle giant with the kind of accent that makes people assume I’m an idiot. No one sees that my biggest appetite is for the books that fuel my brain. Penny is a puzzle. A mystery to solve—mainly why no one else sees how beautiful she is. Why she doesn’t see it herself. And why a stalker would make this shy, unassuming woman his target. By the time I figure it out, all my strength, all my brains, and all my skills may not be enough to keep my dream for our future safe.
