Maxine Roberts is a homebody, a self-imposed recluse. If it weren’t for her job, she’d have no human contact at all. So with the country about to go into a nationwide lockdown, she’s not even put out by her grumpy-arse boss asking her to stay behind. After all, he’s nice to look at and it’s better than being alone. Even if his very presence pisses her off. Except for that one time at the company Christmas party. A night neither of them have mentioned since. Though her mind often wanders there. Nick Montgomery loves his job but loves seeing Maxine every day even more. The beautiful ray of sunshine had become his guilty pleasure. Which is why he made an excuse to prolong their time together. He just didn’t anticipate the lift breaking down with them both still inside it. Now that they’re trapped together, will they give in to temptation?
