Jussi Adler-Olsen is a Danish author who began to write novels in the 1990s after a comprehensive career as publisher, editor, film composer for the Valhalla cartoon and as a bookseller. He made his debut with the thriller “Alfabethuset” (1997), which reached bestseller status both in Denmark and internationally just like his subsequent novels “And She Thanked the Gods” (prev. “The Company Basher”) (2003) and “The Washington Decree” (2006). The first book on Department Q is “Kvinden I buret” (2007) and the second “Fasandræberne” (2008). The main detective is Deputy Superintendent Carl Morck from the Department Q and he is also the star of the third volume, “Flaskepost fra P” which was released in the fall of 2009 and secured Adler-Olsen ”Readers' Book Award” from Berlingske Tidende-readers, the Harald Mogensen Prize as well as the Scandinavian Crime Society's most prestigious price ”Glass Key”. The fourth volume in the Department Q series, “Journal 64” was published in 2010 and he was awarded the once-in-a-lifetime-prize of “The Golden Laurels” for this in 2011”. In December 2012 the fifth novel was published, “Marco Effekten". Furthermore, Jussi Adler-Olsen was awarded “Favourite Author of the Danes” in 2011, 2012 and 2013 leading the organization behind to change the set-up, so the winner cannot be chosen more than once in a three year period. Jussi Adler-Olsen's novels have had such an impact abroad, that he has also received a variety of awards there: ”The Sealed Room Award” in Japan for “Kvinden I buret”; ”Best Translated Mystery Novel of the Year”,”The Crime - Blitz Award 2011” in Germany for “Flaskepost til P” given to the best international crime, Elle magazine's French reader award: ”Prix de Lectrices the Elle” for “Kvinden I buret” as well as ”The Barry Award” in the US for “Kvinen I buret” that was elected ”Best Novel of the Year”. His first novel “Alfabethuset” and the first four books of the Department Q series have been sold for film adaptation. “Kvinden I buret” premiered in 2013 and “Fasandræberne” opens in Denmark October 2014.

Sara Bergmark Elfgren (a.k.a. Sara B. Elfgren) is an award-winning Swedish writer, screenwriter and playwright. She made her debut with the YA novel The Circle (2011), which she co-wrote with Mats Strandberg. The Circle was the first part in the Engelsfors trilogy, and it has been translated into twenty-five languages. Since her debut, Elfgren has written critically acclaimed novels, children's books, graphic novels, audio dramas, plays, screenplays and TV scripts. She was born in Stockholm and still lives there. She has a degree in Film Studies. She enjoys reading, watching old movies, listening to music, playing video games and going for long walks. She is currently working on an opera libretto, a new novel and a children's book.


John Sigvart Jamtli (f. 1982) er fra Mo i Rana. Han er en norsk illustratør, serieskaper og konseptdesigner. Har tidligere utgitt seriealbumene Annunaki og DASS. Jamtli fikk sitt gjennombrudd med Sabotør (2018), en tegneserieroman fra krigens dager, basert på om Osvaldgruppen og deres katt- og mus lek med Gestapos verste agenter. Sabotør - Operasjon Muskedunder (2019) forteller historien om Sverre Granlund og sabotasjeaksjonen mot kraftverket i Glomfjord i 1942. Sammen med forfatter Aleksander Kirkwood Brown har han utgitt Norges Ninjakommandør - den sanne historien om Arne Treholt (2019) og tegnerseriekrimmen Magnus Carlsen og sjakkmorderen (2020).




Född 1961 i Lund, uppvuxen i Stockholm och bor i Nacka utanför Stockholm. Måns Gahrton är mycket produktiv som författare. Han tecknade sin första serie som femåring och skrev sin första bok när han var sex. Han fortsatte skriva berättelser under hela sin uppväxt, men det var första när han träffade illustratören Johan Unenge (vid den tiden reklamtecknare), som han vågade gå till ett förlag. "Vi träffades på en fest för tjugo år sedan. Jag ville göra serier, men kunde inte rita, Johan kunde rita, men inte skriva. ’Jag hittar på och du ritar’, föreslog jag fram på småtimmarna, och dan därpå träffades vi och satte igång med vår första figur, som vi döpte till Agent Annorlunda."

ohan Unenge, född 1963 i Stockholm och nu boende i Enskede, är mycket produktiv både som tecknare och författare. "När jag ska hitta på historien i mina serier blir det tvärstopp", sa Johan Unenge när han på 80-talet träffade Måns Gahrton och började teckna till hans manus. Men i Mållösa United delade de på författarskapet (fortfarande med Johan som tecknare) och därefter har de tillsammans skrivit ett antal serier ihop, bland andra Livet enligt Rosa och Hotell Gyllene knorren. År 2002 debuterade Johan dessutom som författare på egen hand och det har blivit ett tjugotal böcker hittills. Johan Unenge försågs tidigt med drivor av ritblock av sina tecknande föräldrar och gjorde sin första riktiga längre serie som tolvåring. Han har tecknat hela sitt liv, och arbetade under en period som reklamtecknare. Redan som 25-åring debuterade han med tecknade serien "Agent Annorlunda" tillsammans med Måns Gahrton. Därefter har de arbetat tillsammans med en mängd projekt. Ibland med Johan som illustratör men oftast som författarpar.


Peter Madsen is a drawing artist and illustrator, an author, a filmmaker and a lecturer. He was born on 12 May, 1958 in the city of Århus, Denmark. As a boy he moved around Denmark with his family until they settled down in the city of Roskilde. Peter Madsen had his first strips published at the age of fifteen, then chose to study medicine. During the years 1980-84 this was his main occupation until he gave up his studies to be able to concentrate on directing the animated feature film Valhalla. He is probably best known for the series of comic albums called Valhalla (1979 -), humourous comics about the gods of Norse mythology. You can read the history of Valhalla here. In 1995, Peter Madsen published The Son of Man, a graphic novel of 136 pages in water colour, based on the four Gospels in the New Testament. In 1999, he contributed to the interpretation of The Book of Job by publishing an expressive graphic story for adults, The Story of Job. In cooperation with Johannes Møllehave, Peter Madsen wrote Signe's Christmas (2003), which is a familiy book on Christmas, illustrated by Peter Madsen. In 2004, Peter Madsen published a new interpretation of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Story of a Mother" in the form of a graphic novel called The Story of a Mother, based on a tale by Hans Christian Andersen, in water colour and gouache. In 2008, Peter wrote and illustrated The Journey to Jersualem, a book about Easter. In 2009, the first books in the picture book series, Troll Life were published. Troll Life is co-created by Peter Madsen and his wife, Sissel Bøe. So far 9 books have been published. On top of this range of comic albums and graphic novels, Peter Madsen has created a lot of artwork for book and LP/CD covers, posters and illustrations for magazines and periodicals, newspapers and associations; storyboards,T-shirt designs, stamps and murals. He has illustrated several books, among them the Troll Story, (Troldehistorien) by Henning Kure (1989, rhymes by Rune Kidde) and the School Bible by Bodil Busk Sørensen from 2000. Peter Madsen is also a prolific lecturer. Over the last fifteen years, he has given more than 700 lectures. He is married, lives in Silkeborg, Denmark, and has two children and two step-children.
