Samuel owes his life to another vampire but he's not happy when Justin is set as the price. When Dominic Grant comes to Samuel for shelter from an irate hunter, he takes a fancy to Samuel's toy, Justin, and suggests that Samuel part with the boy as payment for once saving his life. Samuel refuse which leads to a tense and unhappy household. Then Dominic rescues Gianni, a young prostitute, from the clutches of organised crime and all hell breaks loose. Samuel must train Justin in the less pleasant aspects of vampirism while Dominic infects Gianni but will any of them survive the mobsters who are intent on taking Gianni back?
