Viktor Ivanovich Buganov (Russian: Виктор Иванович Буганов) was a famous Russian scientist-historian, source researcher, archeographer. Doctor of Historical Sciences (1969), Professor (1976), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1994), Academician of the New York Academy of Sciences, Academician of the International Slavic Academy of Sciences, Education, Arts and Culture. A specialist in the socio-political history of Russia in the 11th-18th centuries, he published works on the problems of source study and historiography.
