ABOUT THE BOOK "GROWNUPS ARE JUST KIDS WITH MONEY": The basic financial knowledge which every adult needs, has always gotten lost in a world of unfamiliar, convoluted concepts and words. Most resources on this topic out there, are typically either too vast, too scattered, or too complicated for those without a background in finance. Owing to this, many continue to live with meager or no financial planning, often even after ten years of having started to work. This book was written with precisely this in mind. It teaches all that hasn’t been taught at home or school. In its pages, lies personal finance knowledge rarely available in one single place - everything from salary to taxation, loans, insurance, the basics of asset classes, how they behave, and most importantly, the fundamentals of simple, stress free investing. ABOUT ME: I started my investing journey in 2008. After realizing how life changing investing can be, I started conducting workshops on the topic. This led to my first book titled ‘I’m Earning. Now What?’, in 2011. This here is my second book and was published in Jan 2018. Besides being an investor and an author, I now conduct workshops on financial wellness. So, I simplify difficult co to an extent that even those with absolutely no background in finance, can finally understand what it takes to grow money well. I'm self-taught in the field of investing. But I think it's this very attribute which makes the work in the field stand out. It lets me relate and write, in a language which is simple to understand, and easy for anyone to follow. I co-authored his first book "I'm earning. Now what?" in 2013, which took birth as a reference material for the workshop participants. Besides investing, it teaches about all aspects of finances needed by every earning individual. My interest in this field finally paid off, when I was able to quit his full-time job by the age of 34. My current book "Grown ups are just kids with money" is far more comprehensive, packed with incredible amount of knowledge and by far, my best work yet. I've also started an initiative called 'Moneyplanting', which is all about making this knowledge available more widely.
