Virulent: Stories is a collection of short stories that take place within the world of Virulent: The Release. It is part of the Virulent trilogy. Virulent: Stories goes back and visits Release Day from the points of view of Salem, Darla, Maxine. We also meet a newscaster taking the anchor desk for the first time, a veterinarian overwhelmed and inundated with mourning pet owners, and an AWOL soldier working for the Elektos Corporation. Each of these stories work together to paint a broader picture of what the world was like on the day of the Release. While the stories can stand alone, they are intended to be read after Book 1 in the Virulent series.
