A military brat as a child, VJ Erickson has lived across the country, from Washington state to South Carolina and many places between. He spent a number of his elementary and middle school years riding his bike and playing make-believe in the woods of a small village in Germany and now still feels the itch to travel abroad. A city-lover at heart, he is drawn to bustling metropolises like Tokyo, Beijing, and Singapore and now lives in southern Connecticut just outside of New York City, his favorite place on the planet. He loves hanging out with his dog Toby, watching the Food Network then trying (occasionally succeeding) to make up his own recipes, and tending to his modest container garden on his apartment balcony.
