In the Lobby, a district surrounding Battery City shrouded in darkness and electric disease, the android population hope their messiah will one day come and set them free. It is believed that a godlike superrobot called Destroya will rise from the desert, part the clouds, and liberate the indentured servants held captive by the BLI-supplies electricity. One day the robots hope to bask in the sun's rays and know what freedom is.
