Walton Golightly is a freelance writer from Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. He’s a film buff with a passion for Spaghetti Westerns, ’70s action movies and the films of Jean-Luc Goddard. He also happens to think Falling Mirror is the greatest SA band ever (and sometimes wishes he were a purple door too). He shares his life with a few thousand books and two dogs. Occasionally the dogs let him sleep on the bed. He was born on November 4, 1966 and attended school at St Henry’s College (Marist Brothers). He studied at the University of Natal (Durban), where he majored in English and Philosophy. Following his National Service he went on to work as a sub-editor on several national magazines.
