Wayne Moody, a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native, is a writer primarily concentrating on Negro League Baseball, and the African American condition in America. Wayne is a former college and professional baseball player. His college career led him to Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. After four years of college baseball, he played professionally in Caracas, Venezuela. Wayne is an avid chess player, jazz rummer, and longtime basketball official.
