Welcome Darkness, through recognized as the first official book in the series, it is actually the second installment. Unlike Nothing, (My first book in the series), this book carries no emotional buffer. It steps directly in the rawness of mourning, the shadows of despair, and the fragile moments of light that still manage to break through. These poems honor the life I shared with my wife and the journey of learning to write again without her.
