Nina is in the islands to seek out family and the sound of waves. The owner of the island where her brother is stationed just happens to be a maestro when it comes to the sounds of the sea. Nina had an accident that left her with a craving for ocean sounds and an expansive tattoo on her back that has curving crests of water that almost seem to move. She’s a little uncertain where she goes from there, so when her brother offers her a safe haven, she heads to the research station in the islands. Spending time with Drake is something she has looked forward to, but being introduced to the owner of the island is a bit of a shock. Her craving for ocean waves is soothed when he’s near, and Kimo’s knowing expression is telling her that he knows why. The courtship that ensues makes the memory of the alpha attack fade into the background and gives her hope for a future with those she trusts around her. She just has to face her fears and brace for the disappointments of family feuds carried forward a generation. She might want to stick with the ocean.
