As an environmental scientist, Cameron Phelps heads to Antarctica for six months to do the research of a lifetime. Examining ice cores and tracking carbon dioxide levels, he can work on a cause close to his heart, global warming, and finally put into practice all his years of hard work in the classroom. But that isn’t the only reason he’s heading miles from home to the coldest place on Earth. Cameron is running, from his broken heart and his uncertain future. More specifically, he’s running from Avery Phillips. Avery was supposed to be the love of Cameron’s life, but just as they were ready to start their lives together, both working toward bright futures, Avery betrayed Cameron in the worst possible way. Not only did he cheat on Cameron, but also stole the fellowship opportunity Cameron wanted. Devastated that the relationship ended, by the pain of the break-up and the cruelty of Avery’s last words, Cameron made the rash decision to go far, far away. When he arrives in Antarctica, Cameron meets Ryan, an ice driller and five-year veteran of the station, who intrigues the researcher with one crooked smile. Wary of Ryan’s larger-than-life personae, Cameron is content to stay safe and warm in his laboratory, doing research and keeping his heart safe. But Ryan has other plans for Cameron. Ryan invites him into his world, which includes both the dangerous landscape that defines Antarctica and the heat of his bed. Just as Ryan starts to melt the ice around Cameron’s heart, however, old fears and new betrayals threaten to undo their budding relationship. Can Cameron forget the past and open up to the possibility of love with Ryan? Or is his heart forever frozen like the ice all around him? Gay / Contemporary

Heidi Champa is a typical last-born child. Snarky, attention-seeking and rebellious, she started to create dirty stories to keep herself out of real trouble. Having tried her hand at a million terrible jobs, she bought herself a laptop and finally started typing up those handwritten tales. After much deliberation, she started to let other people read her work. In addition to her flare with the written word, she knows every sentence of the movie Clue by heart and bakes a mean Funny Cake. She loves Aussie Rules Football (Go The Cats!!), dancing to bad music and laughing too loud in public. A natural born klutz, she has been known to fall for no reason at all and always has a bruise somewhere on her body. Her life has taken her all over the world, but a piece of her heart will always be in Australia. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband. She has been published in numerous anthologies including Best Women’s Erotica 2010, Best of Best Women's Erotica 2, Playing With Fire, Frenzy, College Boys, Like Magnets We Attract, Skater Boys and Ultimate Curves. Her first novella, White Out, was published by Amber Allure in August 2010 and her second, All Expenses Paid, was released in June. She has also steamed up the pages of Bust Magazine. If you prefer your erotica in electronic form, she can be found at Clean Sheets, Torquere Press, Ravenous Romance, Oysters and Chocolate, Dreamspinner Press, and The Erotic Woman.
