The Devourers sweep from from one Federation system to the next consuming energy and sterilizing life. When a small squadron of human fighters successfully repel a Devourer fleet, all the other Federation members turn their suspicions on humanity. Meanwhile, the Devourers have a new humans. As a small group of individuals try to unravel who the Devourers are and how to stop them, time is running out for Earth.
