William Keefer was born in Washington, DC. He studied English at McGill University and has worked as a freelance writer and private investigator. In 2020 and 2022, he completed residencies with the Oak Spring Garden Foundation, which supports artists and writers who explore the natural world and humanity’s place in it. He lives in Baltimore, Maryland.
