Part of Series

Chelsea Sponks has a slight problem, after fixing a time-sensitive issue she returns to Pendle Island to find everything is the same, except for one thing… her boyfriend, Sheriff Deacon Long, doesn’t seem to know who she is. With some assurance from her brother, troublemaker Rudy Malkin, Chelsea believes Deacon’s amnesia is a temporary glitch, one that can be remedied by spending a little time with the man she had formerly known as her boyfriend. The only problem is that Deacon thinks she’s a crazy stalker and doesn’t want anything to do with her. It seems that fate wants the lovers reunited however, and when a string of unlikely events leave Deacon and Chelsea stranded out in the wilderness of Pendle Island, they have no choice but to work together if they want to survive and get back to civilization. While out in the sticks the couple happen upon a cabin and are taken in by the kind old gentleman living there. They quickly find out his daughter has been missing for two years, a cold case that was never solved, a box left to gather dust. Together they resolve to help out their new friend and try and track down the missing woman. The only problem is that Deacon has some old ties to the police department that worked this cold case, and things didn’t exactly end well. Hello, crazy ex-girlfriend! With a case to solve, a potential murderer on the loose, and a relationship to save, Chelsea seems to have her hands full. Matters are only made worse from a strange creature that seems to be prowling the island. Pendle seems to have found itself a new creature in the forest, but is there more to the mystery than meets the eye? There are many questions to solve, and obstacles to overcome. Can Chelsea figure it all out before fate sets its sights on her?
