Tell a witch a lie… I saw the corpse shadow from the corner of my eye; a sallow bruise like a tornado sky. It hung there, unmoving, no matter which way I turned my head. It wasn’t ready to drift across my vision and reveal itself. I sighed, mentally preparing for a day stalked by the reluctant shade. This morning Nilla Hayes woke up with death.
