The Groom Wager

2019

Get Married or Else! Cole Bailey’s eccentric billionaire grandfather issues an edict. If his grandsons don’t settle down soon, he’ll sell controlling interest in the family business. After losing a coin toss to his twin brother, Zach, Cole's gotta go first. On the hunt for a bride, Cole crashes a high society wedding and comes face-to-face with his high school pal, Tess Morgan. The formerly shy, overweight bookworm is no longer the pushover who did Cole’s homework for him. At the reception, Tess goads him into a game of pool. Just to keep things interesting, Cole suggests a wager. If he wins, she must help him find the perfect woman to wed. Losing the bet is one thing, but playing matchmaker for the heartthrob who still causes her pulse to race is another matter entirely. Does Tess stand a chance of convincing Cole that she’s the one he’s been waiting for all along?

The DIY Groom

2020

It was supposed to be his twin brother, Cole, showcasing his craftsmanship on the popular cable TV show, but a sudden scheduling conflict thrusts Zack Bailey into the spotlight. Zack, typically averse to the glitz and glamour of television, yearns to swiftly conclude this unexpected TV stint and retreat back to his comfortable existence running a construction company. Megan Danbury, the charismatic host of 'Do It Herself,' is just as displeased to have the sullen carpenter on her set as he is to be there. From the moment their paths cross, they squabble like cats and dogs. Convinced their on-air disagreements are broadcasting a complete fiasco, Megan is taken aback when their electrifying tension resonates with audiences. Now, her superiors are pressing her to persuade Zack into cohosting the show. Zack's first instinct is to decline, but learning that Megan's job hangs in the balance if he refuses, compels him to reconsider. Unexpectedly, Zack finds himself not just agreeing to be her co-host, but also feeling a strange longing to be Megan's partner off the set too...as her 'DIY' husband. It was supposed to have been his twin, Cole, refurbishing cabinets on the trendy cable show, but when his brother has a scheduling conflict, Zack Bailey gets drafted to replace him. Never one to court the limelight, Zack wants nothing more than to get this TV malarkey over with and return to his construction company. The host of Do It Herself, Megan Danbury, is no more thrilled to have the grumpy carpenter on set than he is to be there. From the moment they lay eyes on each other, they clash like dogs and donkeys. Megan is certain the contentious taping is a rank disaster, but their onscreen animosity turns out to be a hit with audiences, and now her boss insists she must persuade Zack to cohost the show. Zack wants to say ‘no’ but finding out Megan could lose her job if he doesn’t, convinces him to agree and the next thing he knows, Zach finds himself hankering to become Megan's DIY groom…

Lori Wilde can’t remember a time when she didn’t want to write. She even went to nursing school so she could have a schedule flexible enough to allow her to write on the side. She nursed for 20 years, working in a variety of settings from the newborn nursery to the recovery room, to dialysis. But she never lost her desire to write. She sold her first book in 1994 to Silhouette Romance but later discovered she had a flair for comedy and branched out to Harlequin Duets and now, to Blaze. Lori is an adventuresome soul who loves to travel. She’s taken flying lessons, completed two marathons, rode in a hot-air balloon, performed with a professional jazz band, traveled Europe as a teenager, hiked volcanoes in Hawaii, trod on glaciers in Alaska, shot white-water rapids, water-skied, snow-skied, raced all-terrain vehicles, bodysurfed in the Gulf of Mexico, and photographed grizzly bears in Yellowstone. She lives in her native Texas, with her own real-life hero, Bill.
