Rafa Sandoval es la firma utilizada por el dibujante Rafael López Sandoval (que también firmaba como Rafa López para el mercado español) en sus trabajos para las editoriales norteamericanas. Nació en Granada pero se trasladó a Barcelona con dos años, y fue ahí donde comenzó los estudios de Bellas Artes, que abandonaría para trabajar en el mundo de la publicidad, y posteriormente en la animación. Tras algunos trabajos para revistas como Sword, El Reino Salvaje de Conan o Eros Comix, desde 2007 orientó su trabajo hacia el mercado de los cómics de superhéroes norteamericanos, donde ha trabajado principalmente para Marvel Comics.
