Yudron Wangmo writes stories about diverse young people who rise above their own hang-ups and strike out into the world as heroes, ready to do what it takes to benefit the world. She is a strong believer in the effectiveness of a daily meditation practice, guided by a qualified meditation master, in relieving personal and global suffering. Her books draw on her experience as a student of several enlightened spiritual adepts from Tibet. Wangmo has worked as a nurse, a practitioner of alternative medicine, an ice cream truck driver, and has spent years in meditation retreats. She abides in a peaceful sanctuary on a creek in the middle of Oakland, California, where birds chirp in the foreground and gunshots resound in the background.
