Zion was born in the West Midlands and graduated from The University of Reading with a BA (Hons) in English Language & Literature. Zion has been the Contributing Editor of JUNO magazine since 2014. She has written two books: a work of creative writing titled More Things Should Be Thought Out Thus (2010), and a nonfiction book titled The Ultimate Guide to Green Parenting (2015). Zion writes and blogs for numerous organisations including for Cracked.com, The Huffington Post, Green Living Ideas, Eco Kids Planet and occasionally her own blog Science Mum: From the Soil to the Stars. Zion had her first poem published in an anthology at the age of 14. Her poetry has appeared in various publications including the Tolpuddle Special of Citizen 32 magazine and in Musings, a poetry collection collated to raise funds for La Leche League GB. In August 2015 she was dubbed 'Britain's greenest mother' by The Daily Telegraph, and 'an eco pragmatist, happily heavy on evidence' by The Guardian in September 2015. Zion lives in the West Country with her family and various pets.
