If you’d told me a year ago I’d be drinking rum and fighting evil with a crew of powerful women who also happen to be ghostly pirates, I’d have asked what special candy you were eating. Now, that’s my reality. How, you may ask, did I end up with such unlikely drinking partners? They waded onto shore covered in barnacles and lookin’ like death warmed over, of course. Needless to say, I wasn’t exactly tempted to exchange friendship bracelets with them at first blush, but since my faithful little demon dog trusted them on sight, I figured it was safe to hear them out. Their story was strange, but that’s becoming my new normal. For hundreds of years, these ghostly Colonial women-turned-pirates had made it their mission to protect a Spanish galleon filled with gold, though there are only three coins in the lot that they really give two hoots about – the Coin of Fate, the Coin of Knowledge, and the Coin of Time. Individually, the coins are powerful enough to bring humanity to its knees. Together, they’re a recipe for total domination in the right hands and total destruction in the wrong ones. Either way, not good, and they’ve been stolen. As if having coins of doom on the loose isn’t enough, I’m also trying to build a relationship with my sister and master my newly-discovered magic. It’s all in a day’s work, though, and as the Mistress of Balance, all I can do is grab my battle gear and Advil and face it head-on, creaky knees and all. After all, what else would a middle-aged Southern witch with the fate of the world in her hands do? Luckily, I’ve got almost fifty years of life experience, a smokin’ hot werewolf, a demon dog, a handful of trusted magicals, and one devoted hellhound to back me up. Did I mention the hot werewolf? Oh, and I’m also an honorary Fae and have been blood-bonded with a dragon. All in all, my credentials are starting to stack up, so I’ve totally got this
Author

I was born and raised in the South and even hung my motorcycle helmet in Colorado for a few months. I've always had a touch of wanderlust and have never feared just packing up and going on new adventures, whether in real life or via the pages of a great book. When I was a little girl, I didn't want to grow up to be a writer—I wanted to raise unicorns and be a superhero. When those gigs fell through, I chose the next best thing: creating my own magical lands filled with adventure, magic, humor, and romance. I live in Florida with my two dogs and when I'm not writing or reading, I'm racing motorcycles with my taller, more handsome half, hanging out at the beach, or binge-watching anything magical on Netflix. I'm eternally grateful for all the people who help make my life what is today - friends, readers, family. No woman is an island.
