Guram Dochanashvili (Georgian: გურამ დოჩანაშვილი) (born March 26, 1939) was a Georgian prose writer, a historian by profession, who has been popular for his short stories since the 1970s. Dochanashvili was born in Tbilisi, the capital of then-Soviet Georgia. Having graduated from the Tbilisi State University in 1962, he worked for the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnography, and participated in several archaeological expeditions from 1962 to 1975. He then managed the prose section of the literary magazine Mnatobi from 1975 to 1985. Since 1985, he has been a director-in-chief of the Gruziya-film studio. Dochanashvili debuted as a writer in 1961. He was immediately noted for his rejection of the Soviet literary dogmas of Social Realism, and his dissident views. Since then, he has published dozens of stories and novellas which won him a nationwide acclaim for their fairy-tale lightness and invention.[1] His most popular work is the 1975 novel The First Garment (სამოსელი პირველი) based on the Holy Bible and story of the War of Canudos in the 19th-century Brazil.

Naira Gelashvili (Georgian: ნაირა გელაშვილი) (born October 28, 1947) is a Georgian fiction writer, philologist, Germanist, and civil society activist. Gelashvili graduated from the Faculty of Western European Literature, Tbilisi State University, in 1970. She has published a series of stories and the novel dedis otakhi (დედის ოთახი; "The Mother’s Room", 1985). She is one of the most ardent followers of European existentialist prose in modern Georgian literature.[1][2] Gelashvili has also studied folklore of the Caucasian peoples and heads the cultural NGO The Caucasian House. ნაირა გელაშვილი დაიბადა 1947 წლის 28 ოქტომბერს სიღნაღის რაიონის სოფელ ნუკრიანში. 1970 წელს დაამთავრა ივანე ჯავახიშვილის სახელობის თბილისის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის დასავლეთ ევროპის ენების და ლიტერატურის ფაკაკულტეტი, პროფესიით გერმანისტი, მთარგმნელი. 1973 წელს დაამთავრა ასპირანტურა დასავლეთ ევროპის და ამერიკული ლიტერატურის განხრით . საქართველოს კულტურულ ურთიერთობათა ცენტრის "კავკასიური სახლის დირექტორი". თსუ საზღვარგარეთის ქვეყნების ლიტერტურის ისტორიის ლექტორი 1975-82წწ. მხატვრული თარგმანისა და ლიტერატურულ ურთიერთობათა მთავარი სარედაქციო კოლეგიის რედაქტორი 1982-93წწ. "კავკასიური სახლის" დირექტორი 1993 წლიდან. ჟურნალ "აფრას" დამფუძნებელი და რედაქტორი 1997 წლიდან. გაზეთ "ალტერნატივას" დამფუძნებელი და თანარედაქტორი 1998 წლიდან. გამოცემული აქვს წიგნები: „მოთხრობები“, „დედის ოთახი“, „მთვარით განათებული ბაღი“, „ტრაგიკული გრადაცია“, „წინწკლების ქოხი“, „სარკის ნატეხები“, „ამბრნი, უმბრნი და არაბნი“, "მე ის ვარ" და სხვა. 2010 - საბა საუკეთესო რომანისთვის „პირველი ორი წრე" 2013 - საბა საუკეთესო რომანისთვის „მე ის ვარ"
