조정래(趙廷來,1943년 8월 17일 ~ )는 대한민국의 소설가이다. 전라남도 승주군(現 전라남도 순천시)의 선암사에서 태어났으며, 보성고등학교와 동국대학교에서 공부했다. 대표작으로 《태백산맥》, 《아리랑》, 《한강》 등의 역사소설이 있다. 조정래의 작품은 문학계에 큰 영향력을 미쳤는데, 실제로《태백산맥》의 경우 무혐의 처분을 받을 때까지 11년이나 국가보안법 위반 논쟁을 일으켰다. 현재, 동국대학교 국어국문학과 석좌교수로 재직 중이며, 2007년 《오, 하느님》(문학동네)을 저술하였다. http://ko.wikipedia.org/wiki/%EC%A1%B...
