Mike Russell worked a regular job as an accountant for a medical management company when his five-year-old son was diagnosed with brain cancer. Life changes had to be made as his son’s chemotherapy process began - changes his boss just couldn’t afford. Mike walked out of that office that day and never went back. Putting his family first, his decision was easy that he would never work for anyone else, and that’s where the entrepreneurial journey began. In 2002, Mike launched Elite Telecom Services, a telecommunications auditing company. He rebranded the company in 2014 to ETS Solutions, a technology consulting company. Today, Mike owns two additional companies and ETS Solutions is one of the top consulting companies in the nation receiving numerous local, state, and national awards. Among his many goals, Mike wants to leave a legacy. This book is just part of that goal. By authentically telling his story, he wants to encourage others to leave their own legacy. Like most entrepreneurs, his work week started out at 70 hours, then 50 hours, then down to the 10 hours a week he works today. Using stories from his own experience, he teaches readers how to get to this goal by growing and maturing a business from a basement office to owning an office building, setting goals that are high but realistic, networking, hiring great team members, and being a servant leader.
