It seems a little peace and quiet is too much to ask… When murder is afoot. Alpaca farmer, crocheting pro, and amateur sleuth, Josephina Thompson, might just get some much-needed alone time this Christmas. Her boyfriend is visiting his out-of-town family, and her best friend Laurie is busy with her own parents, leaving Jo to fend for herself for the holidays. All thoughts of a solitary Christmas vanish, however, when, due to a mistake in their reservations, Jo winds up hosting Laurie’s parents. Christmas with your own family can be a challenge, and Jo has no idea what she’s gotten herself into by hosting her friend’s family. Typical holiday stress skyrockets to an entirely new level when a body is discovered on Jo’s neighbor’s property. Suspicions run rampant, and holiday cheer takes a backseat to a murder investigation as Jo tries to get to the bottom of what happened in a place way too close to home.
