When Slugga realizes Dej left and took off with his money the only thing he could think about was finding her and their unborn child. He couldn’t wrap his head around how someone who claims to love him could do something so grimy all over a misunderstanding. How could she even think he was capable of the awful crime he was accused of. Did she ever really love him? In his mind, she couldn’t have, it was all fake. Dej realizes she messed up by robbing Slugga but she was in too deep, so she had to roll with the punches. She goes on the run but with a baby on the way, she couldn’t get too far. When she finds out that he’s innocent she feels like the biggest fool and tries to mend their severed ties, but is it too late? Trust is completely broken and when you lose the trust of a jaded person, it’s nearly impossible to get back. Love is put to the test and boundaries are crossed. When two cold hearts come together and create warmth it’s a beautiful thing. But when they break, they shatter. Putting the pieces back together may prove to be impossible.
