Sage Even as a kid, I knew my sister never deserved him. Saint was everything good when my sister was anything but. She blew up their marriage and yet he didn’t hold it against my parents or me when he could have. We’ve always joked that he was a saint, but when I stayed with him the summer before my senior year of college, I realized there was nothing saintly about him. He wants me just as much as I want him, and we don’t care what everyone thinks about it. Saint She’s not a little girl anymore. Sage is all woman and temptation. I can’t keep my eyes off her, no matter how hard I try. She makes me remember what it’s like to be wanted, and I can’t walk away. I try to tell myself that this is just for the summer and that in the fall when she goes back to school, things will go back to how they used to be, but I know it’s a lie. I let her sister walk out and never felt her loss. The thought of losing Sage, though, is crippling. It’s better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all, and Sage? She’s worth the risk.
