Danny F. Santos
Danny F. Santos
Author · 4 books

Danny F. Santos was born North of the wall in Toronto, Canada. When not running for his life from White Walkers he writes fantastic stories in far off lands or far off futures. Or far off lands in far off futures. He runs primarily on coffee and beer. If you want to get specific, his favorite coffee brand is Kicking Horse Coffee out of Invermere, British Columbia. Yes, he visited the roastery. Yes, he got the t-shirt. Beer wise, put a Muskoka Detour in his hand and he's a happy camper. Otherwise, any Belgian beer made by Trappist monks will do in a pinch. When not writing about fantastic worlds, he writes music under the name Boomvang. He's also a terrible sailor, but he loves getting out on the lake anyway. Finally, he is the proud owner of a 22lbs cat named George. The cat is a bit more Wookiee than feline at this point. Unfortunately, he doesn't make a good co-pilot when trying to escape the Empire in a YT-1300 Corellian light freighter. Danny F. Santos still lives North of the Wall in Toronto, Canada. It's cold and there are wolves after him.

Paul J. Bennett
Paul J. Bennett
Author · 41 books

Paul J Bennett (b. 1961) emigrated from England to Canada in 1967. His father served in the British Royal Navy, and his mother worked for the BBC in London. As a young man, Paul followed in his father’s footsteps, joining the Canadian Armed Forces in 1983. He is married to Carol Bennett and has three daughters who are all creative in their own right. Paul’s interest in writing started in his teen years when he discovered the roleplaying game, Dungeons & Dragons (D & D). What attracted him to this new hobby was the creativity it required; the need to create realms, worlds and adventures that pulled the gamers into his stories. In his 30’s, Paul started to dabble in designing his own roleplaying system, using the Peninsular War in Portugal as his backdrop. His regular gaming group were willing victims, er, participants in helping to playtest this new system. A few years later, he added additional settings to his game, including Science Fiction, Post-Apocalyptic, World War II, and the all-important Fantasy Realm where his stories take place. The beginnings of his first book ‘Servant to the Crown’ originated over five years ago when he began a new fantasy campaign. For the world that the Kingdom of Merceria is in, he ran his adventures like a TV show, with seasons that each had twelve episodes, and an overarching plot. When the campaign ended, he knew all the characters, what they had to accomplish, what needed to happen to move the plot along, and it was this that inspired to sit down to write his first novel. Paul now has four series based in his fantasy world of Eiddenwerthe and is looking forward to sharing many more books with his readers over the coming years.

Christopher D. Schmitz
Christopher D. Schmitz
Author · 17 books

Christopher D Schmitz is the author of fiction and nonfiction as well as a regular blogger. Following completion of his first fantasy novel in the early 2000s he began working on lots of short fiction in order to refine his craft and went on to publish many pieces from 1,000-15,000 words in a variety of genres and outlets as writing exercises. Putting fiction away for a while, he pursued post-graduate work where he received a new appreciation for nonfiction, wrote Why Your Pastor Left, and then returned to his love for fiction, writing several new books. Schmitz attained a Biblical Studies degree and a Youth Ministry minor from Trinity Bible College in 2003 and went on to gain a Masters of Arts in Religion from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in 2014. Other: he is generally known as a decent guitarist and played/sang in a rock band for several years. Schmitz is also an ungraded bagpipe player and has been known to pop up in random places and play them—sometimes while dressed as a pirate... because normal is boring.
