This story is a spin-off to The Mermaid and her King, which should be read prior to reading this novel. Eric Matthews hasn’t been able to get Brooke Ward out of his mind since he met her six months ago when she flew to Oahu, Hawaii to help their mutual friends, Skyla and Chase, through a crisis. He named her “heaven” as soon as their eyes met, and he can’t shake the desire to be with her. The problem is, Brooke Ward has a boyfriend.
