I’m starting the new year in the wildest way I can imagine and nobody will stop me. Not even the hired muscle sent to bring me back down the mountain. With a neon green bikini, loads of snacks, and minimal breaking and entering; I have everything I need for a sensational New Year’s plan that guarantees I'll no longer be overlooked by my hometown of Slippery Slopes. There's only one obstacle. And he’s a big one. Owen Campbell doesn’t scare me. Neither do his rippling muscles or intimidating stature. When he’s sent by his boss to investigate a possible break in, I do my best to avoid him and stick to my agenda. I’ve seen the softer side of this gentle giant and won’t be deterred. As the weather worsens, Owen insists we ride the old rickety tram back down the mountain to safety. He really only has himself to blame for what happens next. We get stuck. In the middle of a snowstorm, out of luck (but thankfully not junk food) Owen and I have to figure out how to survive the freezing night as things go from bad to worse. But as I learn more about the man who continues to take care of me, I find that we have more in common than our forced proximity. It's getting harder to resist him but how can I adjust my plans only to go back to a life of obscurity? If only there was a way to keep warm through the long, frigid hours… All Downhill From Here, a small town, forced proximity romcom is a feel good, low conflict, stand alone novel. If you are in the mood for a quick, lighthearted winter read with banter and spice, get your hot cocoa and fluffy socks and head down to the quirky town of Slippery Slopes, New Mexico.
