When the Shadow Forest reveals a cave of Rakshasa waiting to attack, Ruby and Aiden jump into action to prepare how they will protect the City. Their plans, however, could not be more different. Aiden wants to return to the City and use Ruby’s magic for protection. Ruby wants to attack the Rakshasa before they have a chance to hurt anyone. There’s just one problem. Ruby hasn't been able to use her magic since the attack on King Xavier. Not to mention the fact that Jax and Aiden are pulling Ruby’s heart in brutally opposite directions. Now, Aiden is left alone protecting the broken City. And to strengthen his position, he has decided to choose a queen. Ruby has a decision to make. She can stay in the City and fight by Aiden’s side, or she can face her demons and handle the Rakshasa herself. Evil is getting closer and closer with every passing day.
