Part of Series
In this short story, artist Petra Mookjai tries to cope with a toxic world where feminism has become a bewildering and increasingly splintered state. When she is given a toy for her teenage daughter, a breeding kit for tiny multicolored mermaids, she finds herself obsessed with the mermaids as a new form of self-expression. Nebula and World Fantast Award nominee Rambo spins another compelling, chilly story of a future that lies closer at hand than one likes to think.
