Inquisitor Tolde Breed is summoned to the office of the Inquisitor General and given an unexpected task. Amongeratix, one of the Three, the sons of the gods, has escaped a Conclave prison and causing havoc in the known star systems. The Conclave knows that if Amongeratix is allowed to remain free he will plunge the universe into war. Tolde Breed must team with a detail of soldiers from the vaunted Prekhauten Guard in order to stop Amongeratix. But even that won't be enough. Should he fail, the Conclave will fall and chaos will rise.
