Barbed Lyres contains winning entries and special celebrity submissions from a nationwide contest for satirical verse sponsored by This Magazine, Canada's most independent political, social and cultural journal. The judges of the contest were author Margaret Atwood, columnist Allan Fotheringham and songwriter Nancy White. Over 100 of the best entries are featured.
