I’d walked into this coffee shop not knowing I was in for more than a caffeine kick. From first glance, I knew she wasn’t just an ordinary barista. I tried staying away from her, but she found me. A man like me had no business being anywhere near an innocent flower like her. She doesn’t see that she’s too young. That she’s too…untouched. She doesn’t get what I can do to a pretty thing like her with no experience. All she knows about me is what she’s read in the tabloids. She knows nothing. Most importantly, she doesn’t have a clue what has made me who I am today. What I’m running away from. Who she reminds me of. Ivy Zimmerman thinks she owes me for roughing up a customer who was rude to her. I’ll make her regret she ever thanked me for anything.
