A brand new Western adventure from Peter Alan Turner! After arriving in San Diego, Bear, Eric, their wives, and children join Kit Carson’s wagon train and head for Texas. However, what Bear thought would be an easy trek becomes a nightmare as every mile is fraught with danger. From bandits and Indians, to deserts and mountains, the struggle to get wagons and people from California to Texas becomes a do-or-die situation. Once in El Paso, Bear and his family hoped they would finally find peace and quiet. But a corrupt deputy sheriff McGrew, sees Willis as threatening his illegal schemes. The deputy kidnaps Bear’s granddaughter, hoping to use the girl as bait to lure Bear to his death. Now Bear, with the help of the Yaquis Indians and the legendary Kit Carson, finds themselves in a battle with McGrew to save Bear’s granddaughter and end McGrew’s reign of terror.

Writing has always been a lifelong dream. Finally, at 71 years young, that dream became a reality. I am honored to be part of Dusty Saddles Publishing, the leading publisher of Western Novels. Currently, I have several Western Series on Amazon: Chet Henderson: Texas Ranger Adventure Series, Bear Willis: Mountain Man Series, and Willie McGee: Mountain Man Series. Along with a co-write with my granddaughter. In creating my Westerns, I wanted to do three things, be authentic, create likable characters, and tell a good story. With a lot of hard work and prayer, my books have been well received, so, I must be doing something right. I live with my wife of fifty-three years and our cat Moxie on Rattlesnake Ridge. We are lucky that our children, grandchildren, and great-grandson all live close by. When I'm not writing, I enjoy woodcarving, fishing, and pampering my classic Jaguar. I donate a portion of the profits from my books to Veteran charities, including the Veteran’s Independence Project.
