Eva Stephens, owner of the floundering sex shop The Love Shack, meets ambitious baker Remo Bell over the trash one morning when her workday is ending and his is just beginning. An absurd plan to benefit both businesses is hatched after Remo's nonna finds them in what only seems like a compromising position. Asexual Remo needs Eva to fake date him for six months while he tries to get his nonna off his back so he can take over the family bakery. In return, Remo promises to provide Eva with the baked goods that will get customers into her shop. It's just business. No feelings have to be involved.
