Un des desperados les plus terribles de l`Ouest est Billy the kid. Il est très jeune, il aime le chocolat chaud et les bonbons. Billy c`est installé à Fort Weakling. Les habitants de la ville ont tellement peur de lui qu’ils font tout ce que Billy veut. Même le shérif n’ose pas l’arrêter. Luke arrive à Fort Weakling pour y trouver du travail et il fait la rencontre de Billy. Luke n’a pas peur de lui et ça plait à Billy. Luke réalise rapidement que Billy contrôle toute la ville. Luke fait la rencontre de Josh Belly, l’éditeur du journal de la ville. Josh veut l’expulsion de Billy mais personne ne veut l’aider. Luke deviendra l’adjoint du shérif. Luke et Josh vont essayer plusieurs moyens pour arrêter Billy mais aucun ne réussira. Pour faire réaliser au villageois que Billy n’est qu’un gamin, Luke devient un bandit plus redoutable que Billy. Les villageois demande à Billy de les aider à débarrasser la ville de Luke. Billy déteste le fait que les villageois le trouve gentil. Ils finiront par ne plus avoir peur de Billy. Luke arrêtera Billy et il sera condamné à 1247 ans de prison.

The Belgian author Morris (full name Maurice de Bevere) is best known for his humorous cowboy character, Lucky Luke. Morris started his career in 1945 in Le Moustique, creating various covers and illustrations. By the end of the 1940s, Morris met his colleagues Jijé, Franquin and Will. These four artists would be called "The Gang of 4", because they all worked in Jijé's studio at that time. The first episode of Lucky Luke, 'Arizona 1880', was published in L'Almanach Spirou 1947, and was later continued in Spirou. In his early 'Lucky Luke' comics, Morris was greatly inspired by animated cartoons à la Disney. In 1949, Jijé took Morris and Franquin to the US, where Morris met Jack Davis and Harvey Kurtzman, whom he helped with their plans for Mad Magazine. He also met René Goscinny in the US. In 1955, Morris returned to Europe and collaborated with René Goscinny on 'Lucky Luke'. Goscinny wrote the scenarios of over 35 stories, which led to the great success of the series.
