The young and the privileged, Rayne Sojo and her snobby friends are familiar with the lap of luxury. Only accepting of the finer things and rubbing elbows with the wealthy, Rayne faces scrutiny when an unexpected man captures her attention causing her friends to look at her in a different light. Orthopedic surgeon, Stormy Sweeney, is down on his luck. After making a major mistake at work, his livelihood is tested in every way imaginable. Under unfortunate circumstances, he crosses paths with Rayne who reluctantly turns her nose up at him because he doesn't possess the qualities that she's used to. While fighting to stay afloat to provide for his daughter, Stormy travels down an unfamiliar path fighting to not give up on a life that he feels has betrayed him. In Blackberry Molasses, lives are tested and numerous battles are fought. This is a story of pain and defeat and how four people fight to survive when life has thrown curve balls they couldn't fathom.
