The Wolf of Silvania is dead. The Coven has lost a sister. After the events of Blood Coven, Alina, Sorin, Tatiana, and Lilianna mourn over the loss of Red. Stranded in the outskirts of Silvania, they have nowhere to go. Howls permeate the Mørke Forest as a pack closes in, taking back the land that was theirs before the Luca curse stole it from them. When a mysterious woman arrives, she promises them protection within a sisterhood. The Coven is forced to decide if they should stay in Silvania, where they will surely be tried and killed for their witchcraft, or journey to Osleka with Torenia Luca, Red’s aunt, whom Silvania still fears, eighty years after her heinous crimes. As each witch decides her fate, whispers of war begin to grow into a chant: “Down with the Blood Queen.”
