The Trouble with Moonlight

2008

British spy James Locke has seen some odd events—but nothing quite as fantastical as when, in the midst of a moonlit safe-cracking mission, he witnesses a ruby necklace being spirited away as if by conjurer's trick. Following the jewels leads him to Lusinda Havershaw, who's inherited the talent of turning invisible in the moonlight—at least, the parts of her that are unclothed. To support her sisters, Lusinda slips naked through the London night to recover lost or stolen items. After enlisting her reluctant services for the Crown, Locke trains Lusinda in espionage—though her close proximity is bewitchingly distracting. And as their mission to track Russian spies grows treacherous, they'll find that the heart behaves even more mysteriously than Lusinda in the moonlight.

Blame the Moonlight

2017

Movie makeup artist, Chelsea Davenport, turns invisible in moonlight. As a descendant of the Nevidemi, she can’t help it, she just fades to nothing. A recent Hollywood “ghost” sighting spooks her into running to Haven Harbor, Massachusetts, a town populated by witches. Rather than escaping her problems, she’s landed in a cauldron of new difficulties, triggered by a full moon and a chance encounter with her old high school boyfriend who is now a (gasp!) journalist. Brandon Parker needs a big story to break him out of the doghouse with his news editor, who sent him to Haven Harbor to cover Halloween preparations. The discovery of an invisible woman, at least in moonlight, could be his ticket out of this small town hell, however reawakened attraction for his never-forgotten girlfriend along with appreciation of her unique abilities has him tied up in knots. Will Chelsea Davenport become front-page news, or are the witches of Haven Harbor just stirring the pot? This novella includes the first chapter of the novel, Bound by Moonlight, which won the Historical Love and Laughter award from the editors of Romantic Times. While Blame the Moonlight portrays a contemporary descendant of the Nevidimi, the novel, Bound by Moonlight, follows an ancestor from 1877 London.
