He's older, wiser, and worst of all, he's the best reference librarian in the city and he knows it. In his eyes, I'm just a lowly children's librarian. Lucky for me, I don't have to deal with him much. That is, until our boss puts us in charge of the public library's tent at the city's fall festival, and we're forced to work together. I'll just have to focus on what I can control. It's just too bad I can't control the butterflies in my stomach every time he looks my way.
