Third baseman Justin Maddox’s career never really got off the ground. He’s still got some hot sauce on his throws to first, but at thirty, getting around the bases fast is another thing entirely. At the end of the season he's got a decision to make: keep trying for the majors, or go in a different direction? It doesn’t help that the beautiful, curvy woman whose company caters for the team is a constant distraction. Caterer Olivia Wilson loves her job, and she was thrilled to get the contract to provide game-day meals for the Rivertown Rowdies. Usually she would just make the nutrition-conscious meals and set them out for the players, but there’s this one guy she keeps running into—like, all the time—who keeps inviting her to stay for the game. Marisha: I was NOT thrilled at getting assigned by my boss at the photography studio to take head shots of the baseball players on the Rowdies roster. My art-geek days in high school were often ruined by cocky jocks, and I have no love for that kind of guy. Which makes it hard to understand why I can't keep my eyes off star pitcher Danny Broadway. Daniel: I'm having a great season—no, a monumental season. Ever since my pitching coach taught me a variation on my pitching technique, my fastball keeps getting faster, and my stats keep getting better. I expect to get called up to a higher level of the minor leagues, or maybe even the majors (because, yeah, I'm that good) any minute. Which makes it hard to understand why the gorgeous curvy girl behind the camera won't go out with me. Or talk to me. Or even look at me. I'll do just about anything to change her mind.

Luis: I'm having a super season, as part of the Rivertown Rowdies' starting battery. That might be mostly because my pitcher and good friend, Danny Broadway, is having the best season of his life. Danny's young, and sooner or later the ball club will call him up to the majors (sooner, if my guess is correct). But what happens to me then? I'm pushing twenty-eight—and catchers' knees take a lot of punishment. Can I still hack it? And why can't I get the feisty, gorgeous, curvy girl who lives next door in my apartment complex off my mind? Adera: I'm just trying to make my way as a child court advocate, sharing an apartment with my beautiful friend Violet. Violet's always got guys hanging off her generous curves, but me? I'm shy. When I bump into a fantastically-muscled man in the apartment's laundry room, it's because he has my freshly-laundered pink lace panties draped over his face. I'm used to having guys make fun of the size of my butt, but this is so humiliating I burst into tears. And then when he yanks them off his face, we're both horrified to find out that we live next door to each other. What started in the laundry room was far from perfect . . . but just maybe we're right for each other.
