Murder like humor is such a personal thing. One person prefers to kill with a revolver, another with a rope . But just try to talk to people about murder and they will look down on you, law enforcement particularly so. After a lifetime of rejection arising from your occasional murderous utterances you learn to keep such musings to yourself. Until now. In the *Bump Off Your Enemies* literary event of March 15, 2013, forty-six exceptional authors bumped off fictional enemies in 200 words or fewer. True murders of real enemies were forbidden. This literary event was an exercise in imagination. We live vicariously through these stories of death. We release our bottled-up hatreds. This relaxes us, makes up happy. And isn’t making people happy the reason we were put here on Earth? Plus the bastards these authors bumped off really deserved it. Have a nice day.

Foinah Jameson lives in Portland, Oregon, the delightfully weird center of the Pacific Northwest, and spends her days with a fabulous husband, two Norse Gods disguised as her children, and a menagerie of used animals. At night Foinah sneaks out to her office on the back deck under an umbrella where she writes feverishly on a battered Mac laptop, typing away madly until the sun rises. Dark, comic, creepy tales come to life as she sips cold coffee and chain-smokes aromatic cigars in the crisp night air. She is the author of Mostly Dead Melvin—a pop culture satire of the modern vampire mythos, Marker of Faith—a supernatural thriller, and five short story collections. Her short stories and novels run the gamut of the supernatural to poignant vignettes of everyday life. In a previous life Foinah was a musician, a publican, a fortune-teller, a chef, a burgeoning astrophysicist, and an artist rep. Now a domestic goddess and a mother by day/writer by night, Foinah enjoys her alter ego as the smoking monkey who gets to use a laptop. “Writing is so much cheaper than therapy! And you can drink while you do it.”

Angel Sharum is a Georgia Peach who sometimes writes stories that are rotten to the core. Never one to shy away from voicing her opinion, Angel found the perfect venue to share her thoughts when she started writing non-fiction articles for online publications. The success of her articles convinced her to try her hand at other forms of writing. Putting what friends and family called a vivid and sometimes twisted imagination to use, she began writing poetry and short fiction. It didn’t take long for her to realize this was where her true passion lay. Writing short stories allows her to take readers on journeys of imagination that linger beyond “The End” and poetry offers a way for her to shake up people’s emotions and make them think. According to Angel, when she accomplishes her goals a truly special connection exists between her and her readers.

Born in the almost a town of Murupara, New Zealand deep in the Kaingaroa forest imagination was always my best friend. Never staying in one place very long the characters that evolved in my mind became friends. It was inevitable that they burst free and demand that their story be told. I don't believe that I am the important one, that what is important are the stories that I tell and the characters that I love. I found her voice later in life through the rp world that lives on facebook and to this day I still have characters that I play on here as I thoroughly love to bring the characters of my favorite author Sherrilyn Kenyon to life. The key to the world of books is imagination and no matter where I write I strive to bring the imagination of my readers to life. Finally being able to bring my characters to life on the pages for everyone to see was the fulfillment of a dream that had long hibernated in my mind. I write characters and places that take the traditional and twist it to create a paranormal read not seen anywhere but from the pen of this writer.
