Caleb finds a couple squatting on his land. When he confronts them he learns that they’ve fled their home because they were being intimidated by a woman claiming to be a witch. Caleb’s not sure he believes in witches, but he does believe that people should fight for their land, so he and Flora agree to go back to their home in Serenity Valley with them to help them defend their home. When they arrive, Caleb’s beliefs are put to the test when he witnesses Elmira Wolf, the witch, performing what appears on the surface to be an act of magic. It takes Flora’s firm resolve and common sense to keep everyone focused on what they came to do.
