A brand new Caleb Johnson adventure from Charles Ray! Caleb Johnson and his wife, Flora, are traveling to Denver to buy items not available in the stores of Bear Creek when, outside the mining town of Tucker’s Flats, Caleb sees four men about to lynch another man. He doesn’t know what the man might have done wrong but, to Caleb, it’s clear that the four men are not officers of the law and he hates mob justice, so he intervenes and chases the would-be lynch mob away. The almost-victim, Sam Kane, is trying to organize workers in the mines of Tucker’s Flats to get better working conditions, but the mine owners, led by Malcolm Bostwick, are opposed. Bostwick has hired a gang of professional gunfighters to intimidate the miners and is willing to resort to murder to get his way. Their mission to Denver is forgotten as Caleb and Flora decide to throw their lot in with the miners as they stand up for their rights.
